What is Nutrition Coaching?

I studied Nutritional Therapy in the UK. Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, optimal performance and individual care.

I use my knowledge of the wide range of tools used to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances, and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. I quickly adapted my approach to provide more coaching and support for when changes are ready to be made. We work together to ensure you don't take on too much at once, that you are empowered with the understanding of why you are making changes, and that I can offer you the support you need to be consistent at nurturing your new healthier habits.

How successful will Nutrition or Health Coaching be for me?

The degree of benefit obtainable from Nutrition or Health Coaching varies between clients even reasons for coming to me and goals appear to be the same. However, I consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle plans rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Should I tell my doctor or other healthcare professionals I'm working with you?

Nutrition or Health Coaching is never a replacement for medical advice. It is however a great idea to build a team around you to support different facets of your health and wellness journey.

If everyone in your 'team' is aware of your holistic approach and who you are working with, then we can find the right ways to support you, so I would recommend that everyone is open with each other.

Can I come to you for treatment for a specific health condition instead of my doctor?

I would love to work with you to help you improve your general health which in turn may have positive impacts on your health and well-being, but as a Nutrition and Health Coach I am not permitted to diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.

Nutrition and Health Coaching are not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment with you?

At least 24 hours notice must be given for Cancellations. Cancellations within 24 hours or non-attendance are charged at 50% of the consultation rate.

I appreciate that you will likely have dependents whose circumstances you can't always control, as do I, so please let me know if you are unable to make your appointment and we will agree next steps.

What should I do if I have further questions about our plan, it's not working for me or I want to change it?

If you're ever not sure about any plan we have agreed please contact me as soon as possible for clarification.
